During the time of coronavirus, lots of us are doing online auctions. I had attended an auction at Langston in real life a long time ago and felt comfortable bidding online. I've participated in NUMEROUS online auctions at other auction houses in the state and knew what to expect. However, the staff at Langston does not believe in representing items accurately.
Other auction houses will say "note cracked glass in detailed picture" or "fair condition due to age". something that would let the bidder know the item is not perfect. Unfortunately, I bid on and won a cracked piece of glass. After Mr. Langston made uncomfortable remarks behind my back as I was walking out of the building, he came out to my car, stood too close, and told me he'd be happy to sell the item for me again so I could try to make my money back. If you misrepresent your items and act like a slime ball towards your customers, you lose customers. Gross.
