F ox F arm A ntiques is located in the verdant Genesee Valley near the crossroads of antique alley at Rts. 5 & 20 near Avon & Caledonia, New York. It was once a dairy farm, busy growing alfalfa to support a registered Holstein breed of dairy cows. In the late 1930's and early 40's, the former owners introduced silver fox breeding on a tiny portion of the land and in the 1940's the farm became known as Fox Farm.

If you enjoy vintage or antique items, things from the past, you need to come to Fox Farms! They have the biggest selection of antique Americana you'll ever find. From vintage furniture to toys to hand tools, primitives, and even appliances of the past! Their prices are reasonable and they're very nice people. It was a excellent experience!

I came with some family recently and hoped to find some interesting things here. They have a lot of stuff in multiple categories (furniture, books, toys, glassware, etc.) but their prices are scary. I admit I don't know a lot about antiques but my area of expertise is model trains and their prices were unrealistic. Many of the train sets were cheap battery ones or else old, rusty metal trains which were all missing their locomotives.
The owner told me multiple times he had just received a 1948 Lionel set but it actually was a mid-1980s Lionel set (and a quick review of the box would have revealed this). Either the owner doesn't know trains, or he hoped I didn't. That being said, I am not an antique expert so other stuff might be priced right. It was fun to walk through the three floors (which get colder as you go up as they aren't heated) but I didn't come away with anything. I was told there was an assembled Millennium Falcon model there so if you find it let me know!

Fox Farm Antiques and Howard are National Treasures in my eyes. The shop itself will blow your mind as you weave your way through it. There are no crafts nor any vintage trash like you see elsewhere. This is 3 floors and another separate barn filled with actual Antiques. Howard is a magnificent man and very helpful as he is well aware of where everything is in shop.

Stopped by today, they're only open on weekends now due to COVID. The owner was wearing a mask, but no hand sanitizer out for the public, so bring your own, and no bathroom that I saw either. All customers are asked to wear masks. Amazing place, three floors of beautiful (but dusty) furniture, lamps, sets of china, magazines, toys, dolls, tools, etc, Prices were pretty high in my opinion but if you are really looking for something specific, this might be the place to come find it.
We spent about an hour in here, no AC, so our next trip would be in the Fall or winter when it's not so hot. Look for the light switches in some sections that are dark. Hubby found a wood hand drill (no bits) for which he's been looking so he was happy. Definitely worth a trip back.

Howard is one of the kindest and knowledgeable antique dealers I have had the pleasure of buying from. With a wide assortment of antiques to browse through it is nearly impossible to leave empty handed. Visiting when we can, Howard always remembers us and makes the experience that much more personal.

Incredible place with an incredible selection. But items are not priced to sell, it's very expensive. I loved perusing their vast collection, but prices are Internet prices, no good deals to be had here. It's too bad. I'd buy tons of stuff from them if they priced their items for the local market. Instead the owner told me that they're priced to sell to wealthy folks in California via eBay. Too bad.

If you are an antiquer looking for a specific item for your collection this place is a MUST! Come early only on weekends but it is totally worth it! Came here with my mother in law. Its all one owner! Very helpful gentleman with a TON of inventory. He knows what he has though and it's priced accordingly. But if your looking for a specific item odds are you'll find it here.yeesh! We will definitely be coming here again!

My husband and I went to Fox Farm Antiques today for the first time. We were excited when we walked in the door as they had a huge amount of items. We walked around looking at things and we were so disappointed because the prices were so high. We have been to all the other antique stores in the area and Fox Farms were the most expensive by far. He does have anything you can imagine, so if you are looking for that one particular piece, please go to Fox Farms. If you are just out on the weekend antiquing. Don't plan on purchasing anything here. VERY PRICEY!
