I don't usually write reviews but this is my one exception. It's been a long while hunting down this rare piece of history. Thanks you to Strange Imports for allowing me to finally collect one of the few pieces of history I've been looking for. I'd have to say one of the best businesses to ever come across, the owner, Dave called me to tell me it was being ship over what to look for. Excellent service and shipped over perfectly.

Very eclectic store with interesting decorations and jewelry, but a little expensive.

A-1 experience. From the lovely find, to all the help I had choosing and shipping my treasures, we had an all around great experience. My husband found this little shop while out for a bike ride and insisted I accompany him back for a little look. (Unheard of). Summers are on the east coast and here in Colorado I found the garden statue I have been dreaming about.

I didn't know how to get it back east. In this case all my worries of sending a four foot tall stone statue across the country were all for not, as the owners assisted me every step in fact doing much more then I had to. So I thank you all, those who had a hand in getting my statue to me. From the carver to the salesman to the owner of the shop, and of course to the shipper, I appreciate you all. We'll be back in the fall!

Well-curated & reasonably priced selection. I bought what spoke to me (scarf, earrings, figurines) & am very pleased.

My husband and I bought a statue from the owner's shop. When we saw it in the store it looked fine. Once it was delivered it was cracked and missing a chunk. After doing some research online I found that the owner pays mere dollars for his products in Thailand and marks some of his inventory up as far as 5000%. He makes more then the actual people that made it in Thailand.

Strange Imports is a Sinophile interior decorator's dream. It is a warehouse tastefully packed to the ceiling with all sorts of Asian furniture, accessories & accents. They are located in downtown Carbondale, tucked in next to the Crystal Theater across the street from the Century Link building. Ranging from one-of-a-kind antiques, reproductions, statuary and anything else you could want to turn your passe mountain lodge into a Shinto temple in the Rockies.

Seriously though, their showroom is huge and very well maintained. This would be a great place to find gifts: silk scarves, tea sets, exotic calligraphy brushes, ceramics, wall art, containers & baskets. Strange Imports probably has what that special someone needs.
