I have worked with both Rob and Robbie for over 23 years and they have my complete trust. They have guided my investment-grade coin purchases and when I told them that I was ready to sell (13 years ago) they managed the entire process to auction. Net result: the coins that I had purchased as a complete novice sold for in excess of 115% of my cost - from them!
The coin market fluctuates significantly - even on a month to month basis and while they cannot predict what the market will look like (who can?!) in the future they are on the side of their clients who maintain a relationship with them over the long term. You can take your chances with a number of coin dealers but if you are looking for expert guidance over the long term AND you want to learn about coins there is no one more knowledgeable about coins.
They take more time educating potential and existing customers than anyone and for long term and new collectors you would be foolish to go anywhere else. I'm dismayed by those who post shameless reviews who are simply upset that their perception of the current market is indeed based on perception rather than fact. If you are new to the coin market you should give them a chance to educate and guide you. If you are an experienced collector then I need not say more.

Writing the review for my Uncle who cannot use a computer. I've had a 5 year relationship with Reeded Edge. I have spent about $4K with them. In their ad they tout, "A full 7 day return for ANY reason." Recently, I returned a 1937D Walking Liberty half-dollar graded MS66 by PCGS. The coin had a problem. The 'B' in Liberty was covered with a black/grey substance that extended toward Liberty's face and up almost to the "E" The "B" was not discernible.
Those are not consistent with a grade of MS66. I called Reeded Edge and told them I was returning the coin as being flawed and overgraded. Within 15 minutes I got a call from Robbie Jenkins, son of the owner, saying that I had returned too many coins and it was costing him too much money and that things had to change. I told him the coin was overgraded and unsatisfactory.
He continued on the same vein saying he was losing money because of my returns. I can only recall one other return in November of 2016, an 1866 Shield 5 cent in PCGS 50+/ CAC sticker. Being the first nickel struck ever the 1866 is often poorly struck. There are 13 sets of 3 rays for a total of 39 rays. This one had eleven rays. I sent it back, bought another coin from another company that had 35 rays and only $70 more.
I thought that their behavior was totally unprofessional and in stark contrast to their return for any reason policy. I will not ever be buying anything from them. NO CUSTOMER SHOULD EVER BE TREATED LIKE THIS!

There are 2 negative reviews on here which don't make sense. I am a doctor and have been a collector and some time dealer in US and ancient Roman coins since 1959. You meet a lot of shady characters online and at shows. This pair of gentleman Robert and Robbie, no relationship (!), worked with me first on buying my nice collection of NCG 65/66 grade Morgans which I sent to them after investigating the firm.
Absolute fair price and in fact they emailed me with the rationale and talked to the senior gentleman. They will take a few minutes to talk and answer questions. Next comes estate of father-in-law complete with 29 years of mold. I broke it into logical pieces and we made a fair deal of the parts considering none were certified. Having health issues, otherwise would be a consistent monthly buyer of certified Morgans. They are one of the few shining faces in this business and recommend them as prices are fair and they answer questions without any high pressure tactics.

Absolutely outstanding! Knowledgeable and professional. A pleasure with whom to deal. Working with them has enabled me to significantly enhance my collection. More importantly, they are completely reliable and dependable. I trust them implicitly and always feel as if I am learning when I have the opportunity to spend time with them. Thnaks.

I made an appointment to show Rob and Robbie my coins. They accommodated me within two days and professionally reviewed all my coins in my presence. The offer was very fair and I walked out with a check for the full amount. Rob and Robbie are professional and knowledgeable. I recommend them highly for both selling and purchase of coins Howard

Let me start by saying I'm not sure what some of these other reviews are referring to. After researching coin dealers all over the region, I decided to let The Reeded Edge offer on my substantial collection. Robbie Jenkins spent hours with me going through all of my coins and showing me comps in the Redbook and on eBay to offer me assurance. This despite the phone ringing non-stop, deliveries by both FedEx and the post office and constant activity and distractions.
It was obvious from the amount of business in their office, Robbie did not NEED my business, he WANTED it! Bottom line, I left The Reeded Edge with a check for $78,000.00 which was double what a "Montgomery County coin shop" had offered me. Robbie was courteous, thorough, and most of all, fair. I can't thank him enough or recommend The Reeded Edge highly enough. They are a professional organization who do business the RIGHT way! A solid 5 stars!
