They had some nice stuff, but it is was over priced. I went in on the weekend a couple months ago (just realized I could write a review) & was looking for a file cabinet. What they had in metal was $75 & thoroughly rusted out & banged up & scratched. Nothing worth over $25 if that. I mean it could be repainted, but not for $75. Then I found a really pretty old (had 4 library card sized drawers at the top) cherry cabinet.
Pretty banged up, but I figured with some wood putty to replace small missing chunks, some sanding, & refinishing, it would be pretty. It had a price tag, but when we went to look at it, the woman behind the counter (it was at the edge of where the counter ended & the public area started) yelled at us to get away like we'd gone for the cash register.
I pointed out the tag. She let us look, but acted like she was doing us a favor. I asked if they would be willing to come down on the price (from $125 to $100) considering the condition & work it needed. She said no because the owner didn't really want to sell it. I was annoyed & matched her rude tone & said, "Then maybe he shouldn't have a tag on it!" I decided to go back during the week to speak with the owner.
He wouldn't come down, but was much nicer & I bought it even though it wasn't worth $125 in that condition. I wanted it. They were using it & had it filled. I went ahead & paid for it & I was trying to be nice & asked if I came back for it in about 4 hours (it was about 10 am), would that give them enough time to relocate their stuff. The woman I'd previously dealt with was sitting at the desk feet from it & had made no move to start packing it.
She was too busy throwing dagger looks at me. I had not let her boss know how she'd acted, but she was pissed I'd bought it. He said "plenty" & I left. I actually came back in about 5 hours & nothing had been moved. The owner was gone & Ms Snooty had an even worse attitude. She took forever to empty it slamming stuff all the while & muttering under her breath.
Then acted snotty when I asked for help getting it into my car. The guy that helped me to my car could not have been nicer & took every precaution not to damage it or my car. It was raining by then & he'd wrapped it. He's the reason for any stars. I haven't been back since.
