Or your favourite uncle left you an odd box of semi-precious thing-a-mah-jigs and you'd like to exchange them for some cash. When I was a kid, I'd play for hours on the old Remington typewriter sitting on the sewing chest in our guest bedroom. I loved the sound the keys made hitting the page as I would try, unsuccessfully, to type a sentence - or even my name, without making an error. The typewriter belonged to my great grandmother, who was an elementary school teacher.

Omg! I'm in LOVE with this place and did not realizes until my boyfriend and I walked in the place and was stroke how big the place was. I've been so many antique shop and nothing compared to this. I felt like I can spent all day along and wouldn't get bored. We definitely want to come back and grab a few items and plus we didn't have much time spend there to really browse at everything. Staffs was friendly and their bathroom was nice and cleaned after a long hike we drank so much water! So thank goodness there was one there for customers to use. We cannot wait to come back soon!

I love antique society! The best place for treasure hunting. If you're willing to invest some time searching the stalls, you will leave with really delightful items. Minus one star because some of the staff there make me feel like a giant inconvenience when they're ringing me up. Rude and sort of put upon. The check out system is pretty slow and. antiquated (which I expect at a place like this) but I'm always unpleasantly surprised when the staff members take out their frustrations on me.
They also don't like when you ask questions. There are some awesome staff people there -- Mary, John, the cowboy -- super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and just generally lovely. Overall, this place is amazing and very much worth checking out.

Largest collective in Sonoma County, over 100 dealers so if you don't find what you're looking for, you may at your next visit, be sure to return as "new" items seem to come in all the time! Appreciate how they give customers a chance to browse without constantly asking if they need help, so if you do require assistance, be sure to speak up. (They can get quite busy on weekends!) The staff is very accommodating & have always done their best to answer my questions, facilitate negotiations and help complete purchases.
I've found so many treasures over the years I've shopped here. It's a great place with a fascinating collection of antiques, vintage collectibles & one of a kind pieces. A favorite way to spend a day!

Okay, so if you are in the area, this place can take at least a couple hours of your life away. And I mean that in the best way. I stop in the bakery first to grab a bit in order to energize myself for the hunt. Then I roam from left to right finding all the things I didn't know I needed. We return monthly to see what new treasures have sprung up and we've become somewhat familiar with the staff since they are top notch. Go here often is my suggestion.

Love this antique co-op. There is truly something for everyone in a clean, well-lit space. The staff are so helpful and friendly. On my last visit, I scored a gorgeous Tiffin glass bowl and some lovely etched glass tumblers. On past visits, I've scored everything from printer's letters to furniture. (I've exercised control around the jewelry case in the front, but they have quite a selection.)

Incredible antique mall, wish I'd had more time to shop but only made it in 15 min before closing. Went with my partners mom, for whom I was trying to buy a gift on the sly. Once she showed me a few things she liked and I informed the staff of how sneaky I needed to be, they went out of their way to make sure the surprise wasn't ruined, despite it being closing time.
Incredible inventory, amazing taste, excellent service. Just make sure when you go youve got plenty of time to kill, and you won't be disappointed. THANK YOU so much to the staff for being game.

I've been a customer /buyer at the Antique Society for 30 years.during which time I grew to appreciate and admire this collective. MOST 'collectives' are little more than store houses of 'pretend dealers' that are in love with the idea but cannot make the effort and commitment it takes to stand on their own as independent retailers. Times are changing in retail antiques.not for the better.a wide spread huge number of 'dabbler dealers' have watered down the market in both quality of goods and professionalism.
For years, the Antique Society had seemed immune to this illness.but sadly, that is changing as the 'infection' has spread to this once excellent venue. Crappy merchandise.and poor customer service.all too common. I take no pleasure in making these statement. I feel like I'm watching an old friend.wither and die. I was there today. it may be my last time.

Diverse and interesting collection with both high and low end items. Staff have a good system for calling someone if you need to get into a case to view an item. Scored some awesome finds, including some blank vintage postcards, which are more fun to receive than a boring hallmark card. Don't got around lunch unless you're planning to eat--the wonderful smells from the cafe will seduce you!

Amazing amazing antique store. It is very big, had so many interesting and unique antique items. There is a bakery connected to it, but I have not tried anything from there yet. You can find anything from furniture, clothes, coins, jewelry, taxidermy and knick knacks here- a lot of authentic cool items. There are things in very good condition here, very old stuff you never see so don't expect to get a really low price. Fun to come look around, especially at the jewelry. Come check it out near Sebastopol by the side of the highway, the employees are happy to help you with any items.

My favorite thing used to be going to the Alameda Antique Faire the first Sunday of every month. until I came here and realized I can get all the antiques my heart desires under one roof, without haggling, and with assistance from some very friendly staff. This place is like the size of a Target and truly has more treasures than a target. I think I spent two hours here and I could have gone longer but someone came on the intercom and said they were closing and I needed to leave. Doing as they kindly requested was very hard for me but i suppose it was for the best since my wallet is. not so thicc.
I walked away with the most bad ass walrus ashtray, a ceramic bunch of carrots, a yellow letterbox, a set of white porcelain cats, a german shorthair pointer planter, a colorful belt, and an entryway shelf. There's a lot of stuff here that's perfectly preserved and sooo many wonders that you can make into something that suits you more with a coat of paint. There's also a cafe attached to here but bc I didn't realize how long i'd spent in the antique mall, it was closed by the time they asked me to leave. But I will return.

This cafe the latest incarnation in the very difficult space the Antique Society provides. I think there have been 4 places before this one opened, I think, in early 2019. Stopped by on a Friday around 11am. This is a small place with some outstanding food. Seating space is limited as it's in a corner of the building. There is a great selection of tempting bakery goodies, so this is a good choice for a morning snack, a coffee break, lunch or tea.
I tried a sausage roll, a hazelnut twist, veggie tart and a sticky bun. The sausage roll was a nice size and had flaky pastry around it. I found the filling pretty bland, it needed sage or some spice to give it a less generic taste. The pastry was very tasty, well made and the roll was well cooked. The hazelnut chocolate twist was life changing. It is a a delicious nutella -like flavor that is riding on a wonderfully flaky pastry ribbon twisted nicely and finally glazed to give it a good amount of sweetness. Fantastic and one of the best pastries I've had in Sonoma.
The veggie tart was good, again starting with a great pastry shell. The spinach and mushroom filing fell short for me - it needed fresh thyme or something to elevate it. I did love that there was a blend of cheeses in the tart, it gave a nice depth of cheese flavor. The cinnamon sticky bun was the perfect sweet cinnamon flavor on a delicious bun. Clearly there is a lot of skill and talent being put to good use here.
Some outstanding flavors and interesting options outside of the usual bakery suspects. With the limited seating inside (and so many places have struggled here) I don't know why they don't open up part of the front entry way past the cafe or move the antiques place across the way to make more room for the cafe. Putting some chairs and tables in the hall is hardly appealing or a good solution.
A smart landlord would find a way to expand the cafe area to make it a more comfortable place to spend time. It's too crowded a space, so locals like me don't frequent it, which you need to sustain a business. Overall a wonderful place to get top notch pastries and lunches. It can be crowded, so patience is in order if it's busy. Well worth the wait and the calories!

This was a quick stop in. It's a really fun place to explore. The Plantation Dainties and the red arrow caught my eye today. I forgot to take a picture of the cute Winnie the Pooh items in another case. On a crisp day or even better, a rainy one, this is a great spot. A little bakery is part giving you the chance to nosh a bit then browse 20,000 sq ft of nostalgia. If you're like me, caught behind a screen often, this is a great way to break free, take a walk and find inspiration. Prices all seemed really reasonable as well.

I stopped here to look for Christmas presents for my best friend and had a great time here. The shop is very large, and I was on a little bit of a time crunch so towards the end I was really bustling around to check every corner for cool stuff. Really nice variety of vendors and items for sale. Lots of figurines, toys, some clothing, jewelry, household decor and some tools/instruments.
Day after Thanksgiving and although they didn't have a specific Black Friday sale going on, the place was quite busy with lots of customers. It wasn't too hard to find someone to help me open the cases I wanted though, so that's awesome. I found the prices to be fair, and did find some great deals too. Very friendly staff and made the process of getting a lot of little things easy for me by setting them all aside for me up at the front counter until I was ready to check out.
Small parking lot, but was able to find a space. Conveniently located on Gravenstein Hwy not far from the town of Sebastopol. Easy to spot while driving as it's big and right on the road.

Ok 4 stars for out of the way location, but I've been several times! A variety of vendors makes for a diverse and interesting inventory. I have kicked myself more than twice now for thinking about an item, then returning to find it gone. That's the thing with resale, snooze and loose, but I like to think over larger or more expensive acquisitions. Anywho, its worth a visit once and a while, it easy to navigate the roomy expansive display room(s) and I never worry about parking, always seems to be a space out front. Tip: worth the drive when you have time.

Great layout, large booths for sellers, easy to see their items. Very nicely displayed. Friendly helpers at the checkout desk. The weird little guy who followed us around the back booths, as if we were going to steal something -- not such a great plan. He actually went in each booth with me. I didn't even have a purse. Maybe my cane was hollow and I could put really tiny things in it?
He needs lessons in tailing someone. Other reviews mentioned such things. Glad I was prepared. I would stop here again, but I really liked the place across the parking lot. Smaller, but MUCH friendlier.

Are you kidding me?! I happen to go in with my family on the weekend of their 25th anniversary, and I wind up winning a $25 Gift Certificate in the raffle?! That's just too cool. Here's the thing about this place. You really have to go here when you have lots of time. It's HUGE. And there's a LOT to look at. When you go antiquing, you are LUCKY to come across a place like Antique Society. It's quite possibly a "two day-er, " as my mom and I would say about the antique malls in Rockford, IL - multi-story, HUGE, definitely not able to get through it all in one day.
I found a beautiful child's drop leaf table for $65. Very simple, no ornate details. There is a small burn on the surface, but it's easily covered. It makes a great nightstand. (sorry, kid. it's mine!) The people who work here are really friendly and helpful. But really, antiquing is a kind of a quiet venture. you walk around, you look, you look deeper, you reminisce, and you ponder all the ways to scrimp and save so you can come back and buy that special thing. OR - you just get it right then and there!
Treat yourself. Check out Antique Society. And give yourself PLENTY of time. If you are going with family/friends, explain beforehand that it will take a while. If you get hungry, visit the Snapdragon Bakery, located just inside the building. Best cookies EVER, and an interesting, albeit limited, lunch menu. I plan to go back for lunch sometime. ALSO - right across the street is the Food for Thought Antique Store. It is also a very worthy place to visit. The money you spend there goes straight to FFT. It's a great organization. Look it up.
