I have been searching for a cabinet for quite some time. It often takes me some time until I find something that really speaks to me. I searched for Architectural Salvage online and that's where I found Crescent Moon. I found my cabinet! I reached out and they literally got back to me within the hour of first emailing them! They answered all my questions and I scheduled an appt to come in and see it.
I met J outside of the warehouse, it's all boarded up, on a side street off Jackson. I LOVED this mans vibe! You can see the excitement and pure passion this man has for what he does! I felt like a kid in a candy store looking at all the cool things and planning in my head future projects for them! Leaded glass windows, soap stone, gorgeous old doors, etc!
He had so much knowledge about each and every piece and where they came from, he was also very personable, comfortable to be around, and told me about a soup he had made! I am a foodie, I am a fan! Lol My cabinet was even more gorgeous when I saw it in person! I was in love! I gave J a deposit, which wasn't necessary but I wanted to make sure it wasn't sold to someone else before I paid in full.
Soon I was on my way planning for the Devine Delivery of my very first "on my own" purchase of an antique! I met Julie and she had the warmest smile and such a joy and kindness about her, I love this couple so much! I paid in full and toured a little bit of their other building. They showed me some projects they had done, and one they were working on. Again, kid in a candy store!
I felt the most immense sense of joy seeing everything they had done and how beautiful it all was! Now, delivery plans. I had to cancel 2 deliveries. The first time because I had aggravated an injury, and the second time because I missed their email. They were gracious to me, I felt like such a flake, but they were laid back and flexible with me. Thank God! Now, delivery time.
They arrive, check out the entry ways and my space. They formed a plan. I had to only hold open a door to help. Mind you, there this tiny little woman and her husband and a HUGE massive 8ft tall cabinet! I was fascinated watching them with their communication. "How am I at the top? How close am I to the door? Am I going to hit this light?" Etc. I literally never worried the entire time because they handled my new prized furniture with such care and as if it were their own!
They clearly, loved this cabinet too! They further educated me on products I should buy to really clean it up and make the wood stand out, seeing all the beautiful grain and really kinda "moisten" it up. That's the best word I could think of to describe lol. And btw it is NOT Pledge. It is Kramer's Best Antique Restorer and the cleaner (a little pricey but I got the small bottles and now I see why the hype!). Anyway, I have other items I am eyeing to buy from them!
Like an old schoolhouse chalkboard, leaded glass windows, old doors, soapstone etc! They have a HUGE fan in me! I will buy from them for as long as I can! And I WILL use them when we buy our home, and I will be getting a ton of salvaged materials from them in the future! I highly recommend these people! I was so impressed by them, and their kindness. You will LOVE your experience with them!

New secret location is awesome. Jay is accommodating, knowledgeable and responsive. Jay gave great advice on care and maintenance of item purchased. Easy purchase online. I received a quick return confirmation email with a phone contact and email to arrange my pick up. Great experience overall. I highly recommend and will purchase from here again.

I spoke with Jay, and he explained in detail what I needed to do for the wood on my piano, as well as the process of using their stain for my dining room table. He was so generous with his time, knowledgeable, answered all my questions and never tried to rush me. These are unique products and I am thrilled I found about them.

Knowledgeable owners and a great selection of architectural salvage! The owners are a joy to talk to. It's a great shop to wander through and get ideas for projects. They are re-purposing materials that have so much history and connection to the area, that would otherwise be wasted and unappreciated. There is something special about an antique store that can tell you where all of their pieces came from!

Crescent Moon Antiques and Salvage is an absolute dream. We bought an historic home in Oshkosh, and Crescent Moon has helped us lovingly restore it by supplying bath fixtures, cabinetry, moldings, and antique findings. Pricing is really reasonable, especially with the expertise that comes along with the pieces we bought. J and Julie are terrific to work with and offer great ideas for design and creative re-use. We'd be lost without Crescent Moon!

We were lucky to find Crescent Moon and Julie and J to help with our HH Hinder renovation project. J helped us work through our visions and give additional ideas and find the pieces we needed. We purchased our vintage door trim from them and some hardware. We purchased a very large window and they delivered it with great care and experience. All pieces come with interesting history that J is eager to share.
Both J and Julie are flexible by staying open after hours and meeting by appointment outside of normal business hours. We are over the moon with excitement for everyone to see our brewery and taproom in September!

From the first time I walked into Crescent Moon, I have been more than impressed. Not only do they have a slew of unique and one of a kind items, but their attention to the needs and wants of the customers has been both unexpected and a breath of fresh air. After buying my home, Crescent Moon as become my go-to for finding things to both complete my house while holding onto the integrity of my 1922 home --all while staying within a limited budget.
They not only take the time (every time) to listen to what I envision finding, but they have more than once walked me step by step (literally demonstrating) on how to create said vision. I will undoubtedly be a lifetime customer of Crescent Moon. If you haven't been, you are missing out! Crescent Moon is a hidden treasure [right in Oshkosh], and I am beyond grateful that I found it.

I was able to work with J and Julie throughout the renovation of my business. I am a small business owner and they were able to be a part of the entire reconstruction process of my convenience store and deli, and they excelled at it. They were able to stay within my budget, meet with me and my team from Keller, outside of retail hours, and helped with the overall design of my store.
They brought in a ton of barn wood, barn beams, other reclaimed wood, corrugated metals, and tin from old local barns and schools to help me make my vision a reality. They were even able to join in on my grand reopening by offering coupons and other goodies to my customers. In the photos, all of the wood on the walls, the beams, and even counter tops came from Crescent Moon.
They also brought in the corrugated metal that is on the front wall of our deli walk up area, the tin above the deli, and the beautiful barn beams. They were able to salvage all of these products and help bring them back to life, not too far from where it all came from!

Crescent Moon is one of my absolute faves! Julie + Jay are the coolest pair. such a treat to be surrounded by all of the gorgeous rescues that they so beautifully preserve and share. When I need a spectacular treasure for a project (or just to drool over for "someday") I know that a quick stop into Crescent Moon will leave me breathless. Looking forward to many more spectacular finds at this one-of-a kind gem of a shoppe. Cheers + thanks for all! Sarah Willett//Founder

I highly recommend Crescent Moon Antiques & Salvage! The owners have always gone out of their way to give great and advice and help brainstorming ideas for numerous projects I've either had in mind or been working on over the years. Most recently, in 2016 when my husband and I decided we were going to build a house the following year and wanted to include numerous salvaged pieces in the Craftsman style house, Julie and J were there to help as we bounced ideas off them.
They really helped us to formulate our ideas and concepts into actual additions into our new home. Julie helped me find the perfect ridge beam to use as a mantle. We also got (local) Buckstaff factory flooring which we installed into the tray ceiling in our dining room, which J actually cut down for us at the shop because the bundle wouldn't fit in our jeep!
We also found the perfect claw foot tub for our bathroom, a couple vintage doors, hardware.not to mention my favorite piece, the trap door from Buckstaff Company, which is now an art piece, hanging prominently on the wall in our home. They also kept an eye out and helped find the perfect vintage buffet to use as a bar! We have so many pieces around our house that could not have come to fruition without Crescent Moon Antiques & Salvage. Julie and J are always excited to hear what projects and ideas we are pondering.
Even if I'm not already brewing an idea, just taking some time to walk through the shop is so inspiring that I come away with project ideas! Julie and J are incredibly passionate about preserving history and tastefully incorporating salvaged materials or pieces into homes and businesses. Not only that, but Julie and J are SO much fun to work with! We're so lucky to have this wonderful shop and such amazing people in Downtown Oshkosh!

This place is well curated - nearly everything they have on the floor is visually interesting, which is great. What isn't great are the prices. As someone who regularly works with architectural salvage, too many of the prices were outrageous for any market in Wisconsin. I know exactly how much work goes into sourcing items, moving and cleaning, and storing, but just wish they made things more accessible to people who actually care about re-using old materials.
