We've been by this business several times and it's never open. Their website clearly states that they're open the first Saturday of each month, but when we made an effort to drive down there (it's not in a convenient location, nor is it easy to find) they were closed. I'm sure this is one of those small businesses where the owners constantly complain about COVID hurting their business and were probably the first in line for government assistance when it was offered.

You know.one of those businesses that are open at their convenience and never put customers first. Admittedly, I've never even walked into the door of this place. But after calling several times and always getting an answering machine. I won't even bother.

If I wasn't getting on a plane I would have seriously loaded up in this place. Great stuff, nicely organized, great people.

If you're looking for rare or unique antiques for indoor and outdoor architecture, this your place. From old metal fencing to high quality wooden doors and hundreds of beautiful doorknobs, it's a good trip. Large warehouse area; prepare to browse a long time. I even found a large, black bar that reminded me of the bar in the movie, "The Shining." It turned out I couldn't find the knobs to a 100 year-old dresser of mine. However, a very nice woman spent at least 30 minutes researching a business in San Antonio that could repair the knob so that the dresser will have its original appearance. When you shop there, take your time, take your imagination and take your wallet. You will not regret it.

Best place to purchase working vintage mortise lock sets with back plates and unique old door knobs. All old hardware has been cleaned, fixed, and ready to be installed. All old lights have been rewired and are ready to be installed. Great place! Great people! Family owned!

WOW! This place is so cool. It has all types of old fixtures, knobs, and doors. They are all meticulously organized and easy to find. The people here are extremely helpful and know their way around the store. Items are a little pricey, but they are all well preserved history. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you have an old (pre 1940s home) that needs a few hard-to fine things replaced or you want to keep the character intact, this is the place to go.

The folks here are so nice! The lady was super helpful when I came in asking about door knobs but having very little knowledge of them myself. The store is full of antique wonders, and the staff is great about just letting you wander. It was a little out of my limited price range, but if I had the $ I'd totally spend it here!

There is nothing to compare this place to. They are a very singular experience in salvaged architectural features. A literal collection of door knobs, doors panels, railings, appliances, shelving, supporting features etc. The warehouse is cavernous and inspiring. Anyone with good memories of early 20th century and earlier homes would enjoy a tour of Architectural Antiques.

I love this place. Whatever type of architectural item your looking for you can find here. The have beautiful doors and door hardware that you can think of. The owners are very knowledgeable and enjoyable. You can get Iron objects, like gates and rails. I'm telling you it takes awhile to go through this place. Prices are good as well. If your looking for any type of old windows or doors or hardware this is the place to come.

This place is simply awesome. They have soooo much stuff to look at, doors, windows, hardware, etc. it is well laid out, prices are reasonable, and the service was very good. Its a cool place to browse, especially if you're renovating an older home like we are. Lots of old sinks and tubs too. This was a cool find.

Love this place! Family owned and operated. So many wonderful high-quality items available at reasonable prices. Friendly, helpful service with great ideas for repurposing, restoring, preserving, and creating treasures that last generations. This is the antithesis of a big box store with multitudes of generic mass produced merchandise! Unique items here. If you want antiques that will last many years, this is it!

I have had the opportunity and pleasure to visit this awesome store on a couple of occasions. The first time I was greeted and assisted by the most helpful woman ( I can't recall her name at the moment). The second visit I was blessed to meet the owners and engaged in the sweetest conversation about their daughter that I enjoyed very much. However, on each visit I was trying to find the perfect piece (windows and doors) the patience that was shown me was immeasurable. Also, the history and stories that were shared with me about the items made me feel I had selected the perfect piece for my home and that I truly acquired something truly special and I was able to continue to give my piece new life. I'm very pleased with my experiences there.

My daughter and I visited last week. We came in the back way and was greeted by a lovely young woman. I was looking for a window to put above an old cast iron kitchen sink I have in my garden that holds some herbs. She was very helpful as I forgot my gloves. I found a beautiful 6 pane window that was the perfect size. I must say that I was in heaven, this place is a rumagers paradise. I can't wait to return for another project.

I purchased a pair of long leaf corbals from Architectural Antiques. Not only are they beautiful but well made. It was the perfect addition to a project that had been waiting for this decorative addition. Needless to say, I'm very picky when it comes to my projects. A great place to find that perfect something for all you vintage lovers. I give them a 5 rating!

Such an amazing collection! The lady that was working was so helpful! There were so many cool things like doors and windows and accent pieces for the house. I will be back for sure! Not to much furniture but they did have a few beautiful tables one made from an old door! My favorite pieces were the beautiful stain glass windows!

From my understanding Architectural Antiques got their start by salvaging items out of homes that were to be torn down. A few years ago finding this place consisted of a craving for spaghetti and not wanting to go back to work. Located only a few blocks east of I-37 in an old warehouse district. The warehouse is full of all kinds of things like claw foot tubs (unfinished and refinished), different types of doors, windows, sinks, outdoor metal furniture and shelving from the 50's and 60's, signage, cabinets, and all other types of items you would expect to be taken from a home before it gets bulldozed. An indoor office area has crystal doorknobs, hardware, and other odds and ends you end up needing when you have an older home.

The owners know where everything is located in the warehouse, so if you kind of have an idea of what you need they can help point you in the right direction. Recently I found some transoms for around $30 each, and a newer window I needed for a playhouse for $15 (big box stores start at $40 so it ended up being a really great deal for me). This warehouse has things that the big box stores do not, and is fun to check out for unique home interiors.

I was impressed by the very large selection of doors on offer and at the lowest prices we saw in San Antonio. We bought one five panel door for USD 200, a reasonable price given the quality. The store is air conditioned and very well laid out in a large and accommodating building. Penny was very helpful in helping us track down what we were looking for and very knowledgable about where the stock was kept. The store is very close to the I10 junction with easy street parking in a quiet area. Worth taking a look and the best place we found after a city wide hunt.

This place rocks! Huge warehouse full of all kinds of salvage gems. Many of the best pieces were admittedly WELL outside of our price range, but the basic items like the raised panel 5-panel doors we wanted were there in abundance, stripped and ready for stain or paint and hardware ($225 and a choice of three doors). And once we selected our door, Penny wheeled the cart over and picked up the door for easy loading into our car curbside.

The warehouse is on the warm side but not terribly so even in near-July temps (bring 50 cents for the soda machine), but e office area with many light fixtures and hardware was air conditioned if you need a break. So all in all, helpful, informative, and therefore worth it. The stained glass was on the pricier side, but doesn't seem to be a specialty for them. We would go again, and it's a 3.5 hour trip from Houston!

There's a huge selection here and you can really see the attention to detail that has gone into cleaning and restoring the pieces that are for sale. Prices are reasonable and the owner was so helpful in giving me advice about my home restoration project. I will definitely be back here the next time I'm in SA.
