Unused pair of Blue Bills by
Billy Ellis, Canada. These were a part of a set of decoys
that were used as display models in a hardware store that sold
decoys. The are in excellent unused condition. This decoy probably dates to the
early 1880's or before. It has very good original paint. It does have a repair to the neck crack.

Albert Koepsel carved several hundred solid cans, bluebill, mallard and coot decoys from the 1920's to the early 1950's. This decoy is solid with Koepsel's trademark painted eyes. Its in excellent near mint untouched original paint and condition. It has a small amount of the original neck filler missing on the front of the neck and wear on the edge of the bill and top of the head It measures 14x7x6-1/2 inches. Here is a about as good as you can get hand
painted, vs. the later spray painted, Evans Mammoth Can.

I have been doing business with Micah Brosnan for over 10 years and have purchased a total of 6 decoys from him. I have found him to be excellent in all aspects of the business. He is knowledgeable about his decoys And will work with you to get you the right bird within your price range. His prices are fair and reasonable. Micah is timely responsive to questions and concerns.
He packs his birds tightly and securely for shipping. I can't think of anything in the purchase process that Micah does not do well. I would highly recommend West Coast decoys and Micah Brosnan for your decoy needs.

In my opinion Micah is the go to guy for West Coast decoys. I've always wanted a "fresh air" decoy and I found just what I was looking for on his site. Micah's shop has decoys for every level of collecting. I'm a budget collector myself. I am honored to be its caretaker. Fast shipping and a well packaged box insured safe delivery.

I have bought quite a few decoys from Micah and West Coast Decoys. All have been represented well. I have been happy with all my purchases and feel like it was money well spent. Micah has always communicated well with me, and I have enjoyed doing business with him. I will do business with him again.

West Coast Decoys is THE source for vintage decoys of west coast origin. I have purchased several pacific coast and factory decoys from Micah and they've all been exactly as described, carefully packaged, and promptly delivered. Micah is a wonderful resource and graciously shares his decoy and carver knowledge (going far beyond the west coast), be it decoy identification, appraisals, collecting strategies, etc. A first rate, trustworthy, operation that I can't recommend highly enough!
