After almost 30 years, America Designs & Compromise Lodge have flown the coop in Lambertville. This is a celebratory occasion! We're truly excited about the fun collaborations we have in the works, and the chance to travel & treasure-hunt more and sell at different venues. We're working hard to build up our online presents! We're so grateful for everyone's support of our small business over the years and hope you will still come "visit" us here.
In addition to the virtual shop, we're still designing custom furniture, selling our larger pieces of art & industrial pieces, and offering our creative services by appointment.

Located in historic Lambertville, NJ, America Antiques & Design is Bucks County's most progressive decorative arts showroom, offering a unique design mix crossing many periods and styles with cutting edge interpretations. A two-story circa 1911 gallery provides the backdrop for an eclectic collection of 19th and 20th century clock tower dials, architectural antiques, custom furniture, and objects d' art.
America Antiques & Design is home to a rare and unique grouping of 19th and 20th century clock tower dials which we believe to be the largest collection in the world. Acquired from train stations, city buildings and churches during our travels throughout France, Germany and Italy, these beautifully crafted dials are irreplaceable examples of early European blacksmithing and gilding in the pre-industrial tradition. The collection includes dials ranging in size from two feet in diameter to over 10 feet tall.
Following in the tradition of New Hope School artists Phil Powell, George Evans and George Nakashima, David Teague combines his technical and aesthetic expertise and love of design in the crafting of his own beautifully simple and strong line of furniture. In a short period of time, David's designs have become nationally recognized by top decorators and design houses. Each piece is hand-made locally to client specifications with the finest sustainable, reclaimed and salvaged materials.

It is often difficult to find unique, interesting gifts in this online/mail-order world, that's why we need America Antiques & Design. I am so grateful that the team of owners have curated an eclectic mix of small and big ticket items. In this recent visit I purchased a naive painting from 1949, some incredible Mexican tole bracelets also old, and a great vintage woman's skirt.
The people that received these gifts were truly gleeful and appreciative. Had they not been, I believe they would have been able to return them for store credit. Ask up front. A store of this value must be seen, go in and let the creativity seep into your soul.

David and Ginger have curated one of the most amazing collections of antiques and art you could ever wish to see. I stop in every time I'm in town to wonder at the constantly changing selection. If you are a fan of vintage clothing and jewelry they have a whole section dedicated to styling the vintage look that best suits your style. Enjoy!
