These gorgeous vintage pieces will transport you back to a different world. Some have been meticulously restored in their insight facilities. They are happy to show you around and give detailed explanation of the pieces they are selling. Some of the most unique and beautiful period pieces you will ever see.

One of the absolute best antique shops in New England. The immense selection of period furniture, lighting, and accessories is truly impressive. Beautifully displayed and curated, it's a treat to see. Unlike another reviewer, I find Ric Jorgensen's exuberance about his collection very refreshing and a testament to his knowledge. One of the last of the great REAL antique shops left. I would not miss.

We have visited this shop virtually every summer for the past 10 years and have been treated like family. The quality of the pieces, the knowledge and passion of the owners and the beautiful surroundings make a 2 hour visit an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. There is much to look at and lust after. The prices range from the low hundreds to the tens of thousands and everything is in pristine condition.
There are few shops like this one remaining in business. We have purchased just a few things over the years but have been treated like we are their best customers. Can't say enough good things.

In my opinion this is the best place to get some Antiques around here. Three generations of dealing with antiques with very refined taste. Specialized on American and English antiques. In their two floors warehouse and barn you can find furniture, paintings, ceramics, clocks. Don't hesitate just peak in, it is a joy for antique lovers.

The inventory here is gorgeous and very good quality. It really stands out amongst the hordes of shlock at most of the other stores in this town. Their pieces are nicely displayed and well cared for. The high prices seem on par for the high quality, and a few pieces seemed a bargain. What turned me off was the attitude of the owner. He came off as a real used car salesman: "This cheaper than any auction house in NYC!" When I go into a high end business like this, I don't expect to be hounded.
The moment you walk back in from the second barn he pounces on you: "What are you going to buy?" "What's in there that you want?" I saw him do it with another customer as well. It would be perfectly fine of him to ask if we saw anything we'd like to know more about, but their sales tactics just don't match the demeanor I am usually met with in fine antique stores. Instead, I appreciate developing a relationship with the owner, and being educated about a piece.
I don't mind being asked what types of items I may be interested in. This type of antique store is usually more interested in developing a relationship with a customer who may be long term and come back often. But there was a lack of tact and decorum here that made me want to leave what would other wise feel like a treasure palace. I do wonder if the other negative review on here was also the owners being over eager and ready to pounce more so than them distrusting the shoppers.

My experience with Jorgensen Antiques was in complete contrast to the previous reviewer, Dana H. I was greeted at the door by Ric, who couldn't have been more gracious and accomodating. He gave me a tour of the buildings, the work room, and the bucolic grounds. I was encouraged to roam the premises at my leisure. Jorgensen's inventory was comprised of a terrific, eclectic mix of American and European antiques.
Given the superb quality of every piece, their prices are quite reasonable. Ric made sure that I was aware of shipping charges and made every effort to provide the most cost effective transport. Who can ask for more? When recalling my recent vacation to Maine, my visit to Jorgensen Antiques ranks as highly as a Clam Shack lobster roll and a walk down the Marginal Way-nearly perfect.

Being an antique person, and the owner of a vintage clothing shop, I have been to hundreds of antique stores. After a day trip up to the Wells/Cape Neddick area with my family, we stopped at Jorgensen Antiques to check it out. I walked in and was greeted by a woman, we both said hello. The shop has gorgeous pieces, extremely rare and hard to find.
Mostly furniture and decor. I asked a few questions about what she sold - and she told me - and also pointed me int he direction of the second house and the other levels of the shop. We smiled and said thank you. Now, after browsing the first floor - we went up to the second, where there was a small room, full of antiques. I was admiring a desk and talking to my husband about it.
The woman (who I assume is one of the owners) was RIGHT THERE behind us as if she had heard us going upstairs and RAN from the other side of the shop to get up there with us. She mentioned that it was solid wood (it was a desk), and just stood there and watched us as if we were going to steal a 300 pound desk. After that incident, I was completely turned off.
I was over it. I told my husband that we were leaving. I walked right out and didnt say a word. I was raging mad. Im not sure why this woman thought that we were going to steal something. Was it because we have tattoos? Was it because I was wearing jeans? Little did this woman know, I was about to drop some serious cash on that desk for my vintage shop - too bad she was quick to judge us. I wouldnt even bother visiting this place, its very expensive (the most expensive antique shop I have ever visited) and the owner (assuming she is) is a total bitch.
