This is a great store! To all the reviewers who gave a bad review: This store does not deserve a bad review if they did not have what you were looking for. This store does not deserve a bad review if you did not like what you saw in the store. The staff is super friendly. if you think otherwise it says more about you then than the staff. If your a butt hurt liberal check your feelings at the door.

Store was almost like a museum with all the stuff they had in there on display to see. Some prices seemed a little high to me and the aisles were a little narrow, but those were my only real takeaways from it. Wish I had had more time to look at everything more closely. There are 2 floors, so make sure you make time to see everything should you visit

EDIT UPDATE: The customer I'm referring to us the one who came in for the bayonet. I was privy to the entire (10 second) conversation with this customer as I was right behind him. And frankly if you've been recognized and trained as you stated in your response - you should know better. I'm dropping my review to one star as a result. Finally, you're missing the point.
My criticism wasn't of the CUSTOMERS seeking items. It was of your lack of customer service and downright rudeness towards your potential customers. You really should learn to take the honest critiques in these reviews as constructive criticism and better your behavior, and thus your business practices. One only needs to read these reviews to see you definitely need a refresher course on customer service and positive business practices.
I'm not being argumentative; rather if you had read my original review with an ounce of humility, you'd realize I was trying to be helpful, to both you and your customers. Good luck to you Colleen. I believe you'll most certainly need it. The quantity and variety of items here are amazing. Lots of memorabilia and history in the store. My husband and I were very put off by the two older ladies working today.
A man came in looking for a specific item. After first telling him he'd have to look around, a man (owner maybe?) came out and graciously offered to show the customer around. Simultaneously, the two older ladies began to chastise the customer, loudly remarking he shouldn't have come in and asked them if they had a specific item. One even said, "I'm going to go to the grocery store and do that - tell them exactly what I'm looking for".
I'm unsure why these ladies were at the front of the store if not for customer service? Obviously they should seek other employment. Their derision and downright rudeness to customers is unforgivable. It's a shame because this store has many dealers who place their items in consignment. I wonder how they would feel knowing potential customers are being treated this way? Bottom line - we will patronize one of the many other antique stores in Gettysburg where we are treated with kindness and respect.

I absolutely loved this store! Usually when I go to antique stores their items are super expensive and I'll have to walk past an item I really want, but not at this store. Their items are priced so well I almost couldn't believe it. Everything is super affordable and well organized. The owners are also super kind and helpful. Next time I'm in Gettysburg I will definitely be coming back!

I come up to Gettysburg often to take in the history and shopping with my family. My friend/framing client encouraged me to visit the Antique Center due to my interests. I did and my son bought a few items, but I was so impressed with the owners/staff and diverse group of true antiques, it renewed my interest in having a display case for my early maps, coins, currency and historical documents.
It was also busy the day we went. On display, I saw a great variety of quality militaria, coins, historical documents, antique glassware, general antiques. If more AC had this atmosphere and quality at fair prices, I would sign up. Great find!

You never know what you'll find here. This was my second time visiting this store with a couple friends of mine and we had an amazing time. I was able to walk away with some really cool antique pins and my friend managed to find, of all things, an East German Officer's Uniform for an astonishingly low price. Although there are some expensive things here there are a lot of really cool pieces of history for sale at prices you won't be able to refuse.
