This place is absolutely amazing. As someone who has been to a hundred antique stores, I can confidently say this place is a gem and treasure to the city of Newport. Gorgeous items, curiosities, magnificent pieces of artwork, furniture, and a curated selection of architecture and history books, Newport postcards, etc. I could easily spend an entire day here multiple days a week.
Do yourself a favor and stop by to support an increasingly rare type of business, especially in this historic city. The owners are very knowledgeable, patient, and a delight.

This place is awesome I could spend hours possibly even a day or two walking through it and not see everything it's got some really neat stuff and you need to call the owner in order to come check it out but it's just absolutely fantastic every time you turn a corner there's something that you could imagine what it's like with like before entered into this time capsule of a place there's so many different things here that it's almost impossible to summon all up in a few sentences there's an old postcards there's old stocks like paper stocks for the Newport electric company that were never issued I think that's really cool they have stacks of them there's tons of art and tons of jewelry and all sorts of other beautiful stuff but definitely be careful because every time you turn a corner it's like you're going to bump something knock it over and break it so be careful when you go in but enjoy cuz it's all beautiful

The gentleman working there was not knowledgeable and was cold to my husband and I. After just a couple of minutes of browsing he says "sorry guys I have to take this call about a very important sale." He then walked to the door and asked if we could leave! Very unprofessional and since my husband and I are of Latino descent we absolutely felt we were being discriminated against. Hopefully this is read and addressed immediately as I would hate for others to experience what we just did.

Wow. Apparently this place doesn't want to sell anything based on how I was just spoken to and treated. Most folks who shop in antique stores or who have an appreciation for older things also have an appreciation for history. My home is filled with older pieces of furniture most of which I know where they came from and how old they are. When I asked "do you know where this set came from?" referring to an almost complete set of Wedgwood Florentine, the arrogant and irritated reply was "well, England. It's Wedgwood. Does it really matter?" A) obviously I know Wedgwood is made in England since I mentioned I also own this pattern and B) if it didn't matter to me, why would I ask?
He was very unwillingly to sell any pieces separately - would not even entertain the notion upon my request. Unbelievable. I do not recommend spending your money here if kindness and customer service is important to you! Incredibly rude.

The absolute best shop in Newport for antiques and collectibles of the highest caliber. Walking into the Drawing Room is like walking into a magical museum of the highest quality curation. If you are a serious collector, do not waste your time loitering at other so called 'interior design' shops, etc. in Newport- rather, get thee to the Drawing Room, deal with the best, and leave satisfied.
I should know, I have been in the 'vintage' business all my life, am a consultant to NYT best-selling authors and my partner owns a French Chateau, so.give it up to the most amazing, magical time warp in town.

This was listed a few places as the Newport Postcard Museum. NO, it's an antique store with a selection of post cards. If you are looking for some unusual, odd, and expensive antiques. here is the place. Want to blow $7K on a chandelier, this is the place for you. They do have a cabinet of erotic Aztec pottery behind a closed door. A number of local antique items. It's a few building long, one floor, no air.
