They say all good things must come to an end. As 2021 closes, that's also the case for us. Terry and I have truly enjoyed meeting so many of you as well as travelers from all over the world during these past two decades. It's now time for us to retire and enjoy new adventures. The business/building is for sale, and we hope someone will begin their own business adventure here. We will still continue to operate The Hostel on Main, Apt.

I had originally wanted to start a women's fitness center in Rockwood with my Daughter-in-law. We were in the process of finding a place for the fitness center when we came to look at this old building. It was love at first sight! I thought "This place used to be beautiful; I will make it beautiful again!" and so I did!

Short ride up from the GAP trail. Good food, cool antique shopping. Plenty of bike parking and a deck to eat outside.

Trail food if you're riding the GAP. The chicken pot pie was fine. A grilled chicken salad dropped one star off due to being a bit pricey and I had trouble finding the chicken then had even more trouble convincing myself it was chicken! LOL! But the veggies were fine and I really needed some greenery for my gullet after way too much trail food. The tomatoes were a tad sparse as well but that won't stop me from going back. I'm a forgiving soul.

AMAZING place with just about everything! Seriously, everything! Owners and employees are wonderful and extremely accommodating. Great food made fresh right in front of you. They also have an antique shop, apartment and hostel all right next to here. The next time we'll be thru here is on a Sunday and sadly they're closed but I respect that decision and we will make another special trip with the whole family this summer. If you're on the GAP this is a MUST little detour to stop and experience!

Really nice little food stop off the GAP. About a mile climb to it from the trail. Very nice ladies making solid food with love and care. I recommend the Chicken Pot Pie if available. Delicious!

Decent food but they close at 7pm which is tough if you are peddling from Cumberland. The staff were nice about our arrival at 6:50pm. They use a hoagie bun for the hamburgers and they are quite filling 2 patties. Their pizzas are quite good.

There are not a lot of dining options in Rockwood, so we opted for this place after a day of biking on the GAP. They were certainly not expecting 26 riders to show up to eat, but the staff did their best to accommodate and serve our group in an acceptable timeframe. Expect your typical sandwich and pizza offerings.
