An absolute time capsule and gem of a find. Love the authenticity of this place. You can go places sometimes and find things that are "vintage" but these pieces are all Authentically old. They even had life magazines from 1938 in great condition. If you love antiquing you neeed to check this place out.

Have always loved this place until today! I was browsing and looking to spend a few hundred dollars on Xmas gifts. This old man walked up to me and said, and I quote, "Put on your mask, Now!".I had just seen a sign on the wall that said "If fully vaccinated, You DO NOT have to wear a mask"--I pointed this out to the old man and he immediately called me a liar.
I walked him over to show him said sign and He said "That is only ONE sign, there are 50 others that say wear a mask. How in the Hell am I supposed to figure out WHAT sign he wants me to read? Its his store. He then got very nasty and with much profanity told me to leave the store. That I did. They have lost a very loyal customer because of this crude Old Coot!.So very sad that the vendors have this A-Hole working for them! BEWARE!

MCM (mid century modern) and antiques galore here! This is probably one of THE BIGGEST stores we've been to for this niche in the region, and it's both well-curated and immense in it's selection! They have prices from top condition 10k+ sets to nice deals $10 when the product owners just wanna get rid of things. Def an amazing spot to go diving for deals!

This place is definitely worth the detour! Well curated vendors with a little something for everyone. The setup of the front of the store looks like a bunch of movie sets from another era. It's like entering a museum. The prices range all over the place with some high-end collectable stuff down to the smaller chachkies that fit my budget.

Nice place to take a journey back to the good ol' days. Very organized Antiques shop. Various memorabilia, vintage clothing, shoes, purses, hats, money, furniture, table settings, pictures, art work, trinkets, and more. Be prepared to walk/stand for an hour as you will need time to discover goodies in each section. Everything is for sale! Private parking lot available- restrooms are inside.

I have a huge infatuation with the 50's through the early 70's. My boyfriend took me here on a day trip last weekend knowing that it's a place I would probably fall in love with. I walked in, but my hand on my heart, almost started crying and told him he has brought me to heaven. When you walk into this place you are instantly transported to a mid-century home.
Each little room in the beginning of the mall is dedicated to a different scene - the first being the bar and entertainment portion of the home, complete with stools, pool table and Hi-fi stereo. Then you will walk into the living room, tube TV and all, the bedroom etc., The kitchen is amazing, mid-century ovens that you can't even cook a small chicken in, an ice-box fridge etc., What is even more amazing is that you can buy any of the pieces that make up the scene.
After you get through that glory you will enter the antique "mall" portion. Trinkets after trinkets of some amazing things. The place even has clothing. I found about 5 dresses straight from the 50's that would complement my pre-existing Mad Men wardrobe incredibly well. We will probably go back here in about 6 months, after shoppers have purchased set items and dealers have replaced them with new stuff.
If you are an antique lover, appreciate mid-century design or have watched Mad Men more than twice - this place is for you. Be still my beating heart. I'll be back to heaven soon.

When you walk through the front door of the Midway, it looks as if you are walking onto the set of the AMC series, Mad Men. Not what you would expect from an Antique Mall. The front portion of the business feels more like a museum dedicated to the design and style of the 50's and 60's than a traditional Antique store. This place is unique. *50's talk: "I read the other day where some scientist thinks it's possible to put a man on the moon by the end of the of the century.
They even have some fellows they call astronauts preparing for it down in Texas." This building was previously an Ethan Allen furniture store, and many of the showrooms are now fully furnished and decorated vignettes of bygone era's. There are even mannequins dressed in appropriate period clothing in some of the showrooms. Walking through this portion is a blast from the past, right down to the period authentic linoleum used in some kitchens. *50's talk: "Marilyn Monroe is now showing her bra and panties, so apparently there are no standards anymore." Once you work your way deeper into the massive store, you start to see more traditional Antique mall booths, but many are still period authentic. There's even a vinyl records shop.
Just when you think there couldn't be any more, you enter into what was previously the warehouse section of the building. It's a bit darker back there which makes it a little more difficult to shop, but the lighting is still adequate. *50's talk: "Their music drives me wild. This "Rock Around The Clock" thing is nothing but racket." From the street, Madison Avenue, the building looks deceptively small. Don't let that trick you.you could be there for quite a while if you are really into antiquing.
If you are furnishing a mid-century modern home, this is where you need to go. Expect to pay full retail though because, for the most part, the items appear to be carefully procured and/or restored quality period furnishings.

I have to upgrade and update Midway Antique Mall to 5 stars! This was my second visit. If you're into mid-century modern design, this place is AWESOME! The main thing that actually improved - noticeably - over my last visit is that nearly everything now has a price. Previously, many of the items in the beautiful front display rooms had no prices and weren't for sale. NOT this time!
This time, nearly everything had a price. I thought the prices for everything were also very fair and commensurate with condition and rarity. For example, the incredible one-of-a-kind 1957 bar ensemble, at the front door, is nearly $5000. I think this set is worth every penny of 5 grand. Also, things like the pairs of Reglor Lamps were mostly around 500 bucks. Again, for someone who has collected many of them - spot on - or maybe even slightly below market for pairs with original shades and finials. I got to meet the owner. I really like Mark. I love his store, his knowledge, and his irreverent attitude. Thanks for being great! -Daddy Maxx Retro
