The Stars Antiques Malls are owned by three friends, who have turned a passion for collecting and decorating into a successful business. They began the 1st Stars Antiques Mall in 1990 and opened their 2nd store, Stars & Splendid Antiques Mall in 1993. Now representing over 200 dealers, the Stars Antiques Malls are Portland's biggest resource for antiques, collectibles and home decor.

I came here based on a recommendation from a friend. They have two locations right across the street from each other. I found some really neat items. Just like any kind of antique mall you're going to find a wide variety of prices. I did find some great deals on fabric that I've used in some quilting projects. Really neat place to visit.

Really great place, goods, and prices. got verbally harassed/ threaten by a house inclined person on the street a block away. Multnomah County non emergency should pick up the phone and the qfc employees should be able to also help and take customers complaints about threatening "house inclined" people loitering. Qfc says they don't care if it is on the city street.
In summation this is a very cool main street and a very amazing vintage/ other store. They have very cool goods other places don't have and the prices are very decent too. Sorry for the odd story in the review but it is more of an open review, but the store is amazing.

Big! Two stores Big! I tend to find what I'm looking for there, but it's not a junk shop, most of the items are vintage and they usually don't have 80's toys and a limited selection of Japanese Antiques. (Go to Shoguns Gallery for the Japanese stuff) but as far as old world American and European antiques, Stars has you covered. The prices are very good.

It's a clean and organized treasure trove of mostly second hand and vintage goods, run really well and super fun to browse or find something specific. Prices are generally decent, not necessarily a bargain hunters dream, but far better than any store in Aurora! Parking can be difficult, but if you're ok with walking a few blocks, it's worth it.

If you, as an employee/owner, make eye contact with a customer (several times) waiting to checkout while you're having a conversation at the register (even if it's with a dealer)--the least you can do is greet the customer and explain that it will be a few minutes. Instead the woman at the register continued right along chatting away as if we didn't exist.
And that's when we walked out and I have no interest in returning ever. If I can have a better experience on Etsy, why should I support local business that obviously doesn't care to acknowledge me? No thanks

I have been shopping these malls since they opened. Just went over there after being away for 6 months and was very disappointed to see how the quality of dealers and inventory has declined since last fall. Dealers that have been there for years are gone. Many dealers that were new last year have already moved out. The dealer turnover seems to be accelerating.
For the first time ever, I did not see a single thing I was interested in. The spaces are being filled with general line low end stuff. Actual collectibles are in short supply. It would appear that the new "dealers" are not being vetted any longer. Not much point in visiting these malls twice a week anymore. As a full time dealer I am EXTREMELY disappointed.

This is a great place to go with friends, on a saturday, with family, whoever and whenever! Huge selection of everything vintage and antique. Home decor, kitchen things, clothes, bags, shoes, scarves, art, furniture, collectibles, etc. They also carry a small selection of designer items. I once got a pair of authentic Gucci sunglasses with cleaning cloth and case for only $175, pretty good! Prices are generally super great. I'm a big collector of jewelry and they have a few vendors who have some awesome stuff, all for under $50 pretty much! Great place to stop, you'll always find something!

I've lived in the neighborhood for over a decade but only recently have come to really appreciate the Stars Antique Malls! I'm a huge fan of Mad Men and Mrs. Maisel and many of my fashion/furniture/dinnerware interests are in line with a Mid-Century Modern style. Stars vendors all vary in their 'style' as well as their specialty, but there's something for pretty much everyone here. I'd consider Stars to be priced similarly or a bit below that of most Portland antique stores.
They often have sales--they did as of yesterday, when I went a little crazy with the kitchenware purchases! I'd say there are around 10 vendors I know I really enjoy and spend a ton of time really perusing their entire spot, but I go into nearly every spot just because there are so often hidden gems! I'd highly reccomend Stars for anyone interested in antiquing/vintage style!

Long overdue review of Stars Antiques, which is always a challenge as well as an adventure. The many dealers who rent out stalls at Stars display some of the most interesting stuff in Portland. Elk horns, vintage clothes, old manual typewriters, knickknacks of every shape and size -- you name it, you can probably find it at Stars. I'm no expert and I don't go to garage sales but over the years I've picked up cast-iron skillets, wooden boxes, stools and small tables, old glass jars, antique Christmas ornaments, and various other items at Stars.
Since some dealers really pack their stalls with stuff, a walk through the store can be sensory overload. There's no haggling here unless you ask at the front desk and they're willing to contact the dealer. If you like an item and the price seems fair, buy it.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit that next to Powell's, Stars is my second-favorite place in the entire Portland metro area. I love this spot! And come any chance I get. The stalls are lovingly maintained, and I sure like that the individual space-owners build shops within the shop, so I can easily head straight for the stuff that interests me and skip the rust and dust.
For Yelpers who complain about price, it really depends. The individual proprietors set the prices, so some are ridiculous, and some are downright bargains. I've been searching just about forever for a small occasional table that wouldn't break the bank but will fit into my 1906 house. I found this beauty today for $24. Yup! $24! True, the counter help can be standoffish, but I'm there to immerse myself in nostalgia, and I don't need their help for that.

About once a month or more I stop in to see what the dealers have to offer @ Stars. Clean Antique Mall with friendly employees. Dealers are pretty cool also. Look for sales every couple of months. Oh, if you find something you like, don't wait because I'll bet the next time you come back to Stars Antiques Mall your item will be sold(If priced reasonably). So you better jump if you see something that's in your price range.

My friend took me here as he knew I'd be into their vibe and I did arguably see a lot of cool stuff that I was into. My experience was marred by an employee asking if my friend was going to pay for their jacket that they came in wearing that very much doesn't look like an antique at all. He had removed his jacket earlier to try on a flannel which she would have clearly seen if she was actually watching us.
It made us feel very unwelcome and embarrassed and tailed for being the only poc in the store and no apologies were made once she realized her mistake. So maybe be wary of yuppie racist employees if you're trying to window shop and have a chill day with your friends.

Stars is a fun place to spend s few hours, especially when it's raining -- or winter-- and used to be really great. In the last couple years, it seems the serious antiques are taking a hit in favor of kitsch, which is fine in small doses. It must be the sign of the times and because it's an election year (SIGH!), but I miss the warm feeling I got from many booths which showed a real passion for history and it's related "junk." If you get bored at one Stars location ( and how could you?!) there's another. Cross the street and Voila'!

Apparently this store is ok with profiting off selling Nazi memorabilia. Cool for you but it sucked for me and my dear friend who is ethnically Jewish who were shopping that day. Many countries, as mentioned in a prior post, have made this type of thing illegal but not here at Stars who proudly displays this close to the front. It's nothing less than disgusting. This anti-Semitic store deserves no business from decent people. It is a good reminder that modern day nazis still abound.
