India Street Antiques has been importing vintage and antique furnishings from Europe to San Diego since 1991. The warehouse showroom is located in the Art and Design District of NoLi, the North Little Italy neighborhood of Mid-town San Diego known for art galleries and studios, vintage and antique furniture stores, architectural antiques, wine bars, breweries, cafes, boutiques, and a hub for Mid-Century Modern shopping.

History Report

How long has India Street Antiques been in business? At that time, we were the only retail business in North Little Italy. Our early 20th century warehouse was surrounded by car repair and rental facilities.

Armoires & Wardrobes Report

Hand-planed cherry wood, carved bone key escutcheons, central stringing inlay, ebonized balusters, carved floral applications. The interior features two dual-plank adjustable shelves under which is a drawer. Late-Victorian ( 1896 ) armoire / wardrobe / linen press in the French Gothic style. Built by Maison Antoine Bastet of Lyon ( ebeniste et fabricant de meubles 1864-1935 ).

Bed Frames, Day Beds, Chaise Longue Report

Full-Sized Bed Frame | Pat Harker Designs | Woodland Furniture | Madeline Bed 502 with Birds | Idaho Falls, Idaho | Made in U.S.A. The lightly distressed full size bedframe is hand-constructed and hand-carved from alder wood and hand-finished with Woodland's "Whispering Birch" paint. This design is named the Madeline Bed 502 and is crafted by Woodland Furniture, the furniture company established in 1996 by Lynn and Pat Harker.

Cabinets and Nightstands Report

Pair of nightstands feature a refinished exterior with a classic mahogany tone finish over mixed fruit woods of burl and mottled figures. The flat tops have molded edges. The fronts offer access to one top drawer and a single-door cabinet. The drawers and doors are decorated with raised molding, referencing cock-beading on Georgian furniture.

Incredible antique dealer and repair location. We walked in to look for a vertical dresser and were pleasantly surprised to leave with the bonus brass eyelets needed to repair our current dresser. The price for the brass fixtures, less than what Lowe's charges for zinc fixtures. Thank you again for finding the antique part replacements. Sarah and Daniel
