I was told I would be contacted when my item was shipped. I was not even though I called several times. The delivery man had the item on the truck and was less than 24 hours away. I also needed to find local movers asap. The antique was not protected AT ALL, not even shrink wrap, and was badly damaged during shipping. I got nothing but a meak sorry from Karin. This was many months ago. I am reviewing now as I tried not to get too upset.

The investment, knowledge and pride the proprietor and his staff have in their wonderful establishment is breathtaking. I would have loved to have spent hours in there just to improve my education and experience with fine furnishings. Magical! The courtesy and consideration displayed by all of them was treasured by me. Thank you all!

We live in Chicago and ordered a piece online. They were very helpful throughout the entire process, pictures were accurate to the condition, I arranged the transportation myself, they loaded it on the truck for us and it arrived in perfect condition(for its age, it was made in the 20's). Would definitely buy from again!

First off, let me just say WOW! This is hands-down the best antique store I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Don't let the exterior, or the neighborhood fool you. Once you go inside, you will truly be amazed! Like a great woman makes you want to be a better man, this place will make you want a better job to buy everything. The best way to describe it is that my wife and I must have said the words, "Oh my God" so many times we were expecting to get thrown out by the staff thinking we were having sex.
This is the store that you can't say, "I've seen that before". The staff were excellent from the time we first walked in and throughout the 2 hours we took to complete the tour. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure!

If you are looking for some architectural salvage from the late 1700's and on, this is the place! Beautiful hand carved tall wooden doors, stained glass, chairs, trunks, hand painted furniture, iron gates, just an amazing place to get lost in. It is very easy to walk around and browse, and they have large garden pieces outside, and also a huge basement and sale area.
Definitely a hidden gem, and a fun place to see some historical furniture and imagine the people that may have used all of these pieces at one time or another. Will definitely return and bring some friends!

This is the location for larger pieces of architectural salvage. Argentinian wrought iron, garden sculpture, marble fireplaces, entire staircases, columns, stained glass windows. Open by appointment as well as some regular hours- check their website for updates. Periods and styles range from mid to late 1800 Chinese furniture, 1700-1900 Italian and American pieces, and their trademark specialty- Colonial India and Goa. Photographers, film, and trade are welcomed.
This is also a little known hot spot of local musical talent performing for intimate audiences- sign up on their website for email updates. EXCELLENT sales, not to be missed. Staff are knowledgeable and can find your perfect piece.

4) Eron Johnson Antiques: The staff of this antique store is so unbelievably friendly, even to a browser. There are huge pieces here. Huge wardrobes, elaborate Shakespearian carvings, Eric Clapton on the airwaves, vases, strange oil paintings. Boy, what an overwhelming selection. Statues from 1886, Indian soldiers decaying chandeliers as $2450.00. Wardrobes. 1850.
Painting on Egyptian woman with sword. The smell is very nice.and floral. Wow! Where did all this shtuff come from? This Eron Johnston must have been collection for some time. For sure. Apparently about 30 years.) and this location for 10. Oil and acrylic paintings, teapots, cowhide chairs. A bust of John Milton. Hanging lamps, Scandinavian box with case bottles. Gargoyle-esque "pair of canvases Shanxi stone foo dogs. Impressive and huge dinging table, 158" 55" 31". (For $30,000.00 wow! Also a basement. Shays lounge!
