Our History More than thirty one years ago, Gail Dearing had no idea that her love for antique American wicker would mature into one of the longest lived antique businesses in Atlanta. Originally selling out of her basement, she specialized in vintage wicker that she picked up on the back roads of New England.

I had been wanting to check out Dearing Antiques for some months now and finally decided to visit today shortly before noon. There are quite a few interior decor and antique shops in the area. Dearing Antiques is located next door to a Cross Fit gym. It's a shared lot out front and it's small, not sure if there's additional parking elsewhere, so keep that in mind if you go at a peak time which my guess would be on weekends.
The shop itself is spacious but feels manageable to go through. I've been to antique shops that are packed to the brim with stuff and it feels overwhelming. There is a large showroom in the front and then other rooms in the back but none of them are stuffed with items so you feel like you can go through the shop leisurely. I was greeted warmly upon arrival, asked if I was looking for anything in particular, told that they'd be happy to answer any questions I have then left to browse on my own, which I appreciated.
I was looking to see if they had any smaller decor pieces to stage a bookcase and console table I recently purchased but didn't see what I was looking for. I did see a couple of nice pieces of furniture (a chest, a floor length mirror, and a wall mirror) but I don't need any furniture right now. The furniture items I liked and looked at were quite pricy though. Another thing to keep in mind. I'm guessing that they're prices are probably on par with other antique shops in that area.

Not only is Dearing Antiques staffed with the friendliest folks around, the store also features rare finds. Boasting original painted pieces and tons of English Antiques, I have found many treasures here. If you find yourself in the Buckhead area I'd definitely recommend taking a peak around this place.
