Now & Again Since 1991, owner Mary Kirchner, along with her late husband, Bill Kirchner, has spent 25 years acquiring a distinctive inventory of antiques, accessories and finer furnishings. Her knowledge and expertise allows Now & Again to maintain a diverse collection of 18th, 19th, and 20th century treasures. The staff at Now & Again is comprised of experienced and knowledgeable sales professionals who provide genuine customer service, something you won't find everywhere.

Many on our staff are artists or collectors themselves allowing them to understand the many needs of both buyers and sellers, as well as the unique categories of items being sold.
Services
If you have antiques, fine furnishings or accessories that you no longer need and wish to consign with Now & Again, we would love to talk to you about consignment opportunities! Photos: Before we can discuss your items, we need to see a photograph of each item. Our preference is digital pictures, but you are also welcome to bring us photographs to the shop or send them in the mail.

What a wonderful place! Such caring staff and a beautiful selection. Come here for Edward's and Victorian styled pieces. Not so much modern. There are some good values here. While the facility is wheelchair accessible, calling ahead will let them ease the way. Find something truly elegant and well made!

Iv'e been shopping here for years. Out of all of the home decor consignment stores in Atlanta, this one has the highest quality and the most diverse assortment of art, rugs, lighting and furniture. Lamps are priced very fairly compared to retail prices. I've shopped at the very few other consignment shops in Atlanta and none compares to Now & Again.

Since everything is consigned and previously owned, I don't understand why people have complained about not being able to get a refund. Check the item out before you buy it. That's your responsibility. Don't shop for used items with the expectation of finding perfect condition. It's unreasonable. Go to Home Goods or IKEA and buy plastic imported furniture that you can easily return.

Clearly a place of higher priced consignment pieces. And. BEWARE! If you buy a damaged item and don't notice, you will get NO REFUND! Period! The item I bought had a large chip that I did not notice. The sales person took it from the display and had it wrapped before I had a chance to look it over. No worries I thought. They are such a nice bunch.? The owner's policy is "no refunds". And that's what I received.and the last time I will ever go there.

This consignment shop has many elegant items for many tastes. BUT BEWARE! It's caveat emptor there.if the item is damaged, and not noticed, they refuse to refund once purchased. I didn't notice that my piece was damaged.badly. No refund.period. I'll think before I go again.

They have an extensive selection of nice merchandise. The website is well-managed and a good place to check out what's in the store before you go there. The associates have been quite solicitous and helpful with my purchases. I have bought many items from them over the years and will continue to do so.

If you ever decide to sell anything through their shop, be sure to read EVERY word of the contract. If it doesn't sell after a period of time (I think it's 8 months), your piece belongs to THEM. I took an antique secretary desk over to them that I paid $800 for about 12 years ago. I called after about 6 months and the clerk told me that it hadn't been on the floor that long and to give it some more time.

No one told me about the confiscation clause in any of my conversations with them, which were 4 or 5. When I went to pick up the secretary desk about 3 months later to donate to a charity, I was told it had sold "a while back" and I was out of luck. For this reason, I can't recommend anyone buying anything from these people.

The staff were friendly and greeted me upon entering, they were helpful and asked me if I was looking for anything in particular, guided me to a couple of pieces. Their selection is gorgeous! Elegant and refined taste, perfect for the location and market area. Not a place for bargain buys or college students. I HIGHLY appreciate that they treated me with the respect, patience, and customer service that I imagine they give their older clientele and did not demean, judge, or act snobbish because I am younger.

I really want to bring my Gram here, she'd love this place and their selection. If money we're no object I would have bought quite a few things here today! Beautiful furniture for my dream house!

If you take anything in for consignment, be sure to read the fine print. If your item doesn't sell after 8 months, it theirs. I brought in a secretary that I bought 10 year ago in an antique store for $800. After not hearing anything from the store in 4 months, I called and was told to give it more time, that it really hadn't been there that long. At no time did anyone tell me about the 8 month policy. I stopped by the store today and was told they had sold it, and kept the proceeds.

Lots of elegant furnishings and rugs, including accessories for the home. Their inventory is fluid and you can find unique items from high end brands, at competitive prices. However, it requires visiting often to catch the items you are particularly partial towards as things move fast

I have used the services of Now and Again for quiet some time but will find another consignment service for my stuff from this day forward. I left a beautiful pair of candlesticks for the girls to sell, after around 90 days I received a call saying no one wanted the candlesticks and I was ask to pick them up. Yesterday I arrived to pick up and the clerk pointed to the pair which were wrapped tightly with bubble wrap.

I thought that strange so I unwrapped one of the candlesticks and found one to be broken. The clerk would not take any responsibility for the broken candlestick and thanked me for being so nice. If you plan to use their services I would suggest you take a picture with your cell of your goods so you will have proof of the condition of your goods when they are dropped off. Now and Again gets an A+ for poor customer service and being honest with others.

Do not consign there. The staff is rude and not helpful. They hold your money after you have sold your items for 45 days after the end of the month that your items were sold in. What other consignment shop does that? They are using your money to float their business for possibly up to 70 days. CRAZY!

Don't bother, clearly unprofessional. I couldn't even get in because as I walked up to the door they decided to close early without warning and even after I explained that I made a special trip they locked the door and left.

Clearly the 1 star rating N&A received was from someone who doesn't understand how consignment works. This place is awesome! Located just North of Buckhead, the shop has a fabulous inventory of high end and mid range furniture and accessories. I'm currently drooling over a leather Century couch that is just a bit too big for my space. The staff is great and extremely helpful.

I just found a sweet little old rustic dresser at an awesome price that's heading for our cabin. They do keep marking items down as they get older, as they are a store NOT a museum. If you're on the hunt for something you have to go often and don't hesitate, if you blink it WILL be gone.

This place a an incredible rip-off. They take your items, smile a lot, then in a few months if your items don't sell, they donate them(most likely to one of their own homes- there are lots of Buckhead Betty divorcees who work there) and when you inquire, they offer you a tax donation slip. If they do sell an item, they wait until you call them before they produce the money they owe you.

Save your time and effort and give your items to the Goodwill or ANY organization. The BBB should shut this operation down. They give the whole consignment industry a bad reputation. Thanks so much Mary Kirchner, Pamela and others.

Fortunately for me, I live fairly close to Now & Again, so I'm able to visit frequently. The selection is of extremely high quality furnishings and accessories. The prices are fair and reasonable for the quality. And, for the bargain minded shopper, they discount the items when they have been there for a while. The staff is extremely helpful and if you're looking for something special, they probably will have it in store, or will keep an eye out for you.
