Although you might have planned a trip to Santa Fe, when you step into the two Things Finer stores in La Fonda Hotel (near the Plaza), you could have easily stepped off the streets of London or Paris into this shop. The incredibly curated selection of gifts, fine jewelry, antiques, art, silver, and curios seems like something you'd find in a fine boutique store you'd come across in one of these international, metropolitan locales.

As such, it is a very refreshing alternative to the ubiquitous "Southwestern" shops that are a dime a dozen in Santa Fe. Things Finer, on the other hand, is where you can find that very special, one-of-a-kind item that will save you a trip across the pond. We always make a point of visiting both Things Finer shops (usually more than once!) during our visits to Santa Fe where we do most of our shopping. Lastly, they have such a friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff, which is such a rarity these days.

Tiny upscale store, as if you had walked back in time in a boutique in Paris, the papers, journals, antiques, and the smells, Black Jade perfume replicated from Marie Antoinette's scent, if not true, a good story, pricey and divine. The priceless items let them ship to you. The sales/owners were delightful to chat with and the Christmas decor in their window caught my eye and enticed me into stay for a while. Classy
